Mary Gilmour

I have been active in the Art Craft scene since the late 1960s.  My current interests include shibori dyeing, paper making, printing on paper and silk and creating art cards using an assortment of mixed media techniques.  I also enjoy using my collection of Mother of Pearl and vintage buttons to make button necklaces.

I love texture and like to draw on nature for inspiration.  I make my own Riso screens for printmaking by converting my Macro photos to greyscale in Photoshop to acquire carbon based artwork ready to image. You can see more of my art work http://www.innervisions.com.au/Marys_art/
